Yate Healing Rooms is open again for face to face Prayer
Just a few lines to confirm that the Healing Rooms is open again for face to face prayer. We are complying with all relevant Covid-19 safety regulations including wearing face coverings, maintaining social distancing and temperature checks for everybody attending. However, it is wonderful to be able to minister to our clients face to face. Appointments are already in demand and we are currently taking bookings for July. Do You Suffer with Anxiety?
Do you suffer with anxiety? Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe. Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life, for example you may worry about sitting an exam, taking your driving test, or going for a job interview and often this experience of anxiety can be a positive experience. If the anxiety however becomes all consuming and affects your quality of life, mood, relationships and robs you of joy and peace then it is good to get some help. Anxiety does not have to consume us. The Apostle Paul reminds us that when we place our trust in God and rely on His promises, then we can live a better quality of life. There is nothing we can accomplish in our own strength and when we submit to God's leading, He will always guide us on a path of safety and restoration. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight". Proverbs 3:5-6 In the healing rooms we believe in the power of prayer and have experienced for ourselves and with clients that through receiving prayer, reading and believing in God's words Jesus will heal symptoms of the mind, body and soul. This includes anxiety.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – God can heal you from this!
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events. People who suffer with PTSD and trauma experience many different symptoms some of which can be life changing. PTSD if untreated or unresolved can lead to the pain, loneliness and devastation caused by mental illness. PTSD can include symptoms such as anxiety, depression, hallucinations, fear, nightmares, flashbacks and suicidal thoughts to name a few. The healing rooms have faith in God and believe Jesus is the healer. We believe that God desires to release wholeness and healing to each and everyone of us, and that includes those suffering from PTSD and/or mental illness. The receiving of this healing is often obstructed by scars from painful past experiences. This obstruction is known as the spirit of trauma. When the spirit of trauma is broken through specific prayer and God given keys, healing can finally break through. If you are struggling with PTSD please do reach out to us for an appointment. What Does the Bible Say About Healing – Part 3
There is an obstacle that can sometimes block us from receiving healing – especially in autoimmune diseases ROOT OF BITTERNESS & UNFORGIVENESS Hebrews 12:15 (Passion Translation) Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many. Hebrews 12:15 (Amplified Bible)‘See to it that no one falls short of God’s grace; that no root of resentment springs up and causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;’ Bitterness refers to a deep rooted enmity that poisons the inner man, it occurs when we foster hostility (unforgiveness) towards someone who has hurt us, with intentionally or unintentionally Unforgiveness - When unforgiveness is operating you can probably give several reasons why you don’t like somebody or what they did or said to you and you may be having flashbacks about things that have been done against you. The next thing that happens is keeping a record of wrongs … leading to Resentment – The record of wrongs is now being fuelled by feelings of holding onto it and you begin to think about it meditating on it and its gets a foothold, your mind is part of your soul which is only renewed by the word of God - Romans 12:2 This is what begins the separations from others and is the foundation for the root of bitterness to get a foothold. Retaliation – When resentment gets a foot hold the next step is wanting to get even with that person ..they need to pay for what they have done etc Anger – after all this has been building up and retaliation has a foot hold feelings of anger start to happen Hatred – After the anger comes hatred … the anger fuels the retaliation and the whole thing starts to add fuel to the situation and it builds you don’t want to be near that person again This can then lead to Violence – You’re going to feel my pain ..you're going to experience it. A outward explosion of inner feelings which could lead to Murder – The final fruit of bitterness once violence erupts is murder …either murder with the tongue –could be verbal abuse or character assassination, a loud outcry against someone or something leading to slander, speaking evil about someone, or the worse case scenario physical murder. These things start in the mind but as we meditate on them they take up residence in the heart and it becomes defiled …it can become a spiritual issue Mathew 18 : 21 – 35 is all about forgiveness but the most important verse is at the end of the chapter (Passion Translation) The king said to him, ‘You scoundrel! Is this the way you respond to my mercy? Because you begged me, I forgave you the massive debt that you owed me. Why didn’t you show the same mercy to your fellow servant that I showed to you?’ In a fury of anger, the king turned him over to the tormentors until all his debt was repaid. In this same way, my heavenly Father will deal with any of you if you do not release forgiveness from your heart toward your fellow man.” Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Mark 11:25 “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
What Does the Bible Say About Healing – Part 2
Mark 16:17,18 'These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.' The word here for sick is the Greek word arroustos (732 in Strongs) meaning to be in bad health or to possess a weak and broken condition. It is the image of a person so weak and sick that he has become critically ill. He is an invalid. These following three scriptures show us examples of times when Jesus healed people who were afflicted with an arroustos type of sickness: Mathew 14:14 “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.” “sick” is the Greek word arroustos. Matthew says that Jesus was especially drawn to those who were so weak that they were without strength. These people whom He healed that day were invalids. Mark 6:5 “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.” In Greek “sick folk” - arroustos. This lets us know that these were extremely sick people not minor ailments, arroustos - critically ill individuals. Mark 6:13 “And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.” “sick” - arroustos, These examples of the word arroustos show that these were people were critically ill. They were physically weak, critically ill, and lacking of strength and had become invalids. These are the sick people that Jesus said we would lay hands on, and they would recover, not minor ailments like headaches and bruises, but people who are critically ill - invalids. Luke 4:40 “Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.” That evening the people brought to Jesus “any sick.” This word “sick” is asthenios,(770 in Strongs) which means a wide range of infirmities. This represents a wide range of sicknesses, but the word “diseases” lets us know that some of these people were seriously ill. This word “diseases” is the Greek word nosos, conveys the idea of a terrible malady or an affliction of the most severe nature. Often the word nosos (3554 in Strongs) depicted a terminal illness for which there was no natural cure. Luke 10:33 & 34 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; The word for wounds is Traumatizo (5135 in Strongs) Trauma - how did he treat the Trauma he poured in oil and wine – the Holy Spirit and Joy! Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, But who can bear a broken spirit?
What Does the Bible Say About Healing
God is our healer its part of His nature it who He is –Jehovah Rapha Exodus 15:26 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” There are some prophecies about this in the old testament Psalm 103:1-. 'Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's' Isaiah 53:5 'But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.' (In the Hebrew it says we were healed) This prophecy is quoted again in the New Testament 1Peter 2:24 'who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.' Note this time it says you were healed – past tense – the price for our healing was paid for at the cross! That’s amazing isn’t it…we perish through lack of knowledge …..if we don’t understand this we will perish! His word is a seed that we plant in our hearts that when watered produces a tree, if you don’t water a seed what happens – it shrivels up and dies – when we water it with good confession, faith etc God provides the increase! Romans 10:9 'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.' The word here for saved is Sozo it means saved, healed, made whole, delivered, preserved this word is used over 100 times in the New Testament in different places. It is part of our inheritance when we received salvation …so how do we receive healing .. the same way we accepted Jesus into our lives by faith ..it is part of the same package! Sozo impacts both spiritual and physical body, we are a temple of the Holy Spirit. John 3:17 'For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Or Sozoed!' Luke 8:43-48 – The woman with the issue of blood was Sozoed – she received healing in her natural body 'Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” 3 John 2 'Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.' This is Gods will for us He wants us healed body, soul and spirit! He paid the price for our healing ! Hebrews 11:1 (The Passion Translation ) 'Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.' Hebrews 11:1.(Amplified Bible) 'Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].' 2 Corinthians 5:7 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.' Hebrews 10:23 'Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.' Hebrews 11:6 'But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him' James 2:26 'For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.' Gods word in us produces faith and its Gods supernatural power that heals – the Holy Spirit at work in us. When His word produces faith, failure is overcome! Mark 16:18 'they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. i.e. they shall progressively feel themselves getting better and better, until finally they are well and healthy.” This is not always instantaneous. God’s power is released into our body and we release our faith and believe healing virtue will be deposited into our body. Just as medicine slowly works to reverse a medical condition, the power of God that was deposited with the laying on of our hands will begin to attack the sickness and progressively bring that person back into a state of health and well-being. Then we water the seed. Isaiah 55:11 'So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.' Proverbs 4:20-22 'My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.' The opposite of faith is not believing what God says true – doubting James 1:6-8 ( Amplified Bible) 'But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].' Mark 11:22-23 'So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.' Let us meditate on these scriptures that will enable us to move in faith for healing! Mark 9:23'Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Zoom Calls Temporarily Unavailable
Please note that with effect from 12th July 2021 we are temporarily unable to undertake Zoom calls. This is due to the high number of people seeking face to face appointments. We will update the website if / when we are able to recommence Zoom calls.
Can God heal people via Zoom?
An interesting question to consider during these challenging times. Can God heal people via a video call? As with most organisations during the Covid-19 pandemic the Healing Rooms team have had to operate predominantly via Zoom video. This has presented some challenges as its not quite the same praying for someone on a video call as it is in person. There is no laying on of hands or anointing with oil but does God need prayer team members to be physically present in order to heal someone seeking prayer? In our experience the answer to the question is definitely no. The bible tells us that God is omnipresent - he is everywhere - so he isn't limited by time or a person requiring prayer not being present with the person ministering. There is a wonderful story in the bible in Matthew 8 v 5-13 where a centurion came to Jesus asking for healing for his servant. Jesus offered to go and heal the servant but the centurion told him that he didn't need to come 'just say the word and my servant will be healed' Jesus marvelled at the centurion's faith and this faith is often the main point that gets pulled out of this story but what often gets missed is the fact that the bible records that as soon as Jesus said 'go, let it be done just as you believed it would' the servant was immediately healed. In other words Jesus didn't physically interact with the sick servant but he still got healed. Over the last 12 months we have seen many people receive a touch from God during a Zoom call and whilst we are very much looking forward to returning to face to face prayer sessions as government restrictions being to ease. We are more than happy to pray for people via Zoom if you are unable to attend a prayer appointment in person.
